Sterling silver Handmade “Pope Saint Peter” men’s ring. According to the New Testament, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ, leader of the early Christian Great Church, he was also called the “the Prince of the Apostles. He is traditionally counted as the first Bishop of Rome‍ The ancient Christian churches all venerate Peter as a major saint and as the founder of the Church of Antioch and the Roman Church. Crossed Keys “the keys of the kingdom of heaven” on the both sides of the ring represent two separate functions: One, the power to bind and to loose on earth (represented by the silver key); and two, the power to bind and to loose in heaven (the gold key).  Peter is tasked with being the chief pastor of the Church and given full ecclesiastical and spiritual power and authority, signified by “the keys of the kingdom of heaven”.
