The 75th Ranger Regiment, also known as Army Rangers is the U.S. Army’s premier light infantry unit and special operations force within the United States Army Special Operations Command. The regiment is composed of a regimental headquarters company, a military intelligence battalion, a special troop’s battalion, and three Ranger battalions. Both symbols on the ring are very emblematic for the 75^th Rangers Regiment.  The sign on top “SUA SPONTE” is their motto which means “Of their own accord” The phrase recognizes the fact that a ranger volunteers three times; for the Army, for Airborne School, and for the Ranger Regiment.
