Description

Sterling silver Handmade Roman Empire style men’s ring. There is a very detailed and an intricately designed frame which makes the ring an extremely rare and attractive piece. Top of ring features one extremely popular symbol. The Capitoline Wolf is a sculpture of a she-wolf suckling twin human infants, inspired by the legend of the founding of Rome. According to the legend, the twins Romulus and Remus were rescued by a she-wolf who cared for them until a herdsman, Faustulus, found and raised them. On each side of it there are “SPQR” initials stating “Senātus Populusque Rōmānus” which means “The Roman Senate and People”, or more freely as “The Senate and People of Rome”.
